I was a starting pitcher at Albion College. I never ended up going pro because advising clients in mergers and acquisitions was too good to pass up. Well, that and a below-average fast ball.

As a leader in the transaction advisory services group, I specialize in buy-side and sell-side due diligence and mergers and acquisitions.

I collaborate with buyers and sellers across the whole spectrum of an engagement, from the initial due diligence phase, to ongoing support, to the successful integration of business operations. I strive to work successfully in tight time frames with an eye toward risk mitigation throughout the transaction process.

When shareholders sell their business, it’s often the most important event in their career. I like to say it’s where business collides with emotion. My goal, therefore, is to always treat my clients in the manner I’d expect to be treated. It’s what fuels my relentless approach.

I’m often asked to speak at industry conferences on various M&A topics, including the Association for Corporation Growth and the Michigan Association of CPAs. I have a B.A. from Albion College in economics and management with a concentration in finance.
